Many foreigners pay more than they need to in Malaysia because they are still learning how Malaysian society works. This small-group consultation and training is built on the Low-Wage, High-Profit Foreign Labour Ecosystem in Malaysia and Beyond dataset and analytical framework, which examines how different societal elements from administration to law and more influence the everyday lives of foreigners, including their cost of living.
Using this foundation, participants will have a better understanding of why foreigners sometimes pay more than locals for similar products and services, and how their level of integration into Malaysian society can affect their everyday expenses.
