About Us

I am Nur Ainne, founder of Truly Knowing Malaysia and CoreSocietal Analytics. I was born in Johor Bahru and grew up in Taman Sri Skudai during the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s.

It was a close-knit, multiracial neighborhood where people mostly walked or cycled to meet their daily needs, private vehicles were few, and neighbours truly knew each other.

It was normal to see children playing outside with their friends and neighbours with very minimal adult supervision. Growing up there taught me to listen, observe, and value different perspectives, lessons that continue to shape how I approach problems today.

My love for writing, researching, and analyzing began in school. Although I was placed in the science stream after strong PMR results, I knew my heart was elsewhere.

After SPM, I pursued this passion at the Malaysia Institute of Integrative Media in Wangsa Maju, Selangor, where I earned a Diploma in Integrative Journalism (2004 to 2006).

Early Days

I began my career as a journalist with Malay Mail Newspaper in Bangsar (2006–2008). Journalism trained me to dig deeper than headlines. Ask “why” and “what’s behind this?” rather than stop at the surface.

From 2008 to 2010, I worked as a producer at Bernama Radio 24, Kuala Lumpur, where I proposed production concepts, organized shoots, and developed program content with on-air talent. In 2011, I joined SHP Media Sdn Bhd as a writer, creating impactful content.

By 2011–2012, I moved into marketing and customer engagement as Head of Marketing at Al-Maghrib Malaysia, overseeing traditional and digital campaigns, branding, and customer service trends.

From 2012 to 2023, I transitioned into entrepreneurship, founding My Maq Aky Enterprise in Subang Jaya. I provided Business Communication Consultancy, diagnosing organizational communication challenges and offering research-based solutions. During this period, I also managed relationship-focused events and authored children’s storybooks (not yet published).

Journalism, Media & Communication

Between 2017 and 2022, as I began independent research, I observed that many business and societal problems stemmed from a common issue: the lack of structured, reliable, and contextual data.

To strengthen my technical foundation, I earned the Arcitura Certified Big Data Professional (Canada, 2023) through MDEC.

In early 2024, I transitioned to full-time work as a Data Researcher and Data Analyst (self-employed, Subang Jaya), where I built a foundational societal dataset on the low-wage, high-profit foreign labour ecosystem in Malaysia and beyond, and used it for Data Analytics and AI tool development services called CoreSocietal Analytics starting mid-2025.

Leveraging the same dataset, I transitioned into providing data-driven social integration consultancy services called Truly Knowing Malaysia for medium- and high-skilled foreigners in Malaysia in mid-2026.

Committed to lifelong learning, I focus on practical, hands-on education from both conventional and non-traditional learning institutions. This approach enables me to deliver ROI-driven insights, keep pace with the rapid evolution of knowledge, and responsibly advance into ethical business analytics.

Transition Into Consultancy

Truly Knowing Malaysia is more than a consultancy. It is a commitment to building fair and sustainable approaches within society.

When project needs require external support, I engage Malaysian freelancers, including new graduates, experienced professionals, and individuals who are reskilling or upskilling, in full compliance with Malaysian regulations and fair market-based compensation.

I also work with foreign freelancers when appropriate, ensuring full legal compliance. This supports responsible workforce participation while maintaining quality delivery for clients.

I believe in giving opportunities to those committed to learning and continuous improvement with genuine intent. Skills develop through fair access and experience. Even experienced professionals make mistakes, so humility and accountability are important at every stage of work.

My Values and Commitment
Why I Do This

Every stage of my career has been guided by the same principle: to find the real story, uncover root causes, and communicate them clearly.

Today, I use data to do exactly that. By transforming complex societal information into actionable insights, I can help medium- and high-skilled foreigners from different backgrounds navigate integration challenges in Malaysian society and contribute to a fairer, more sustainable community.
